LEGO® Serious Play® for Social-Emotional Learning

Building ideas.
Exploring perspectives. Connecting with others.
LEGO® Serious Play® is a hands-on, experiential approach that gives students another way to think, express themselves and communicate.
Through building, storytelling and reflection, students can explore their ideas, feelings and experiences while learning to listen to and understand different perspectives.
Think with your hands
Sometimes it is easier to show an idea than to find the right words.
Building gives students something concrete to work with. A LEGO® model can become a starting point for conversation, reflection and discovery.
Students are invited to build their own ideas, share their stories and explore what happens when different ideas come together.

From individual ideas to shared worlds
Students may begin by building their own ideas before sharing and connecting their builds with others.
As they work together, they can explore how different perspectives can coexist, how challenges can be approached in different ways and how a shared solution can be created together.
The aim is not to build the “right” model.
It is about what students discover, communicate and create along the way.
